Off the Page – Fair Borders?

Palmerston North Central Library | Fri 16 March, 2018

A Bridget Williams Books event to celebrate the Festival of Cultures.

Debates over immigration are heating up – with grave political consequences. Fair Borders draws together a broad set of writers to discuss whether New Zealand’s immigration policy offers a ‘fair go’ to those just arriving, and to those who arrived a long time ago.

Join us for a panel discussion with Fair Borders? editor David Hall and contributors Andrew Chen and Arama Rata to discuss how New Zealand’s borders impact on its citizens, on recent immigrants, and on people who aren’t permitted to set foot on this land.

We are hosting this panel in the events centre of the City Library on March 16th, 6.30pm.
